here is one of my first Dia de los Muertos cards. This is a special time of the year in Mexico, especially Oaxaca and Michoacan. November 1 and 2 is a time to remember those that have gone on before us. Celebrations with the departed's favorite foods and drinks are huge. The graves are decorated with flowers, foods, candies, toys and other reminders of the departed. The food is for the returning spirits to give them strength on their journey back. I will add more cards to this collection in the future.

Here is another set of cards from Tia Limon's Tienda. All stamps are from a set of mexican loteria stamps I purchased at the Carson rubber stamp convention several years ago. The cards have various embellishments from my stash. Enjoy!

This is a card I made in sets of 5 to sell at a boutique/trunk show I had in October. This card was created using handmade amate paper from Oaxaca, Mexico & SU paper-kiwi kiss. I hand carved the heart stamp and the border a is Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers stamp.
